Ronald Coleman Racing was founded officially in 2025. Though it has been a dream since 1938. Ronald Coleman was born on Christmas day 1938 in the small town of Millersburg Pennsylvania. For those who don’t know Pennsylvania is one of the biggest hubs for motorsports, more importantly Sprint Car racing. Growing up only 50 mins to one of the most iconic dirt tracks in the world Williams grove speedway, Ron was around the some of the beginnings of one of the most known sprint series in the nation the Pennsylvania Posse.
Ron would soon graduate and begin a long tenure career with the Air force. He would be stationed in many places over the world. At the end he would land in Minot ND, where he would start his family. Ron married Ruth Anne Coleman and a couple years later welcomed his only son Chad Coleman. Ron would spread his passion of racing to his son Chad that would carry throughout his entire life. From being at the inaugural season of the world of outlaws, to constantly attending the Knoxville nationals. Rons true passion and love for sprint cars wasn’t just a family thing. Ron was one of the guys who everyone knew on and off the racetrack. Ron was one of the most people friendly people anyone has ever known. Ron knew everyone, form the drivers, people in the stands, even the t shirt ladies would know who he was. Famously Ron would always boast about the different Christmas cards he would get from all around the country from connections he made at the racetrack.
Being the great man that Ron is he was even a greater grandpa. Rons passion and love for everything his grandchildren were involved in were on display at every moment. He would always boast and show how proud he was of his grandchildren. Ron aka (papa) was always there for everyone’s events. From every soccer game, baseball game, even choir and band concerts. He was one of the proudest Grandpas there was. Rons love for racing never died though. With Chads love for the sport and being that he had 3 sons, the love for racing would surely pass on. And in many ways, it did. At least for one of them. That being Chads oldest son Xander. Xander grew up loving every moment at the racetrack. The time with his father and grandfather is one of these best memories. The love Xander had for sprint car racing grew and grew ever year. A love he shared with father and grandfather. Many nights at the track sitting on grandpa’s lap watching the green number 11 go around the track lap after lap. The love for the sport grew to an all-time high with Xander getting into go-kart. A natural love for the sport turned into a natural talent. Xander was a very prevalent winner early on in his karting days and Ron was there for every race. That was the begging of a lifelong dream to race for Xander.
As time moved on the dream never died. Infact, it grew and grew with in the Coleman family. Even though Xander wasn’t karting anymore the valuable time at the track with his grandpa and family were still a staple in the Coleman family. Shortly before Ron passed, Xander bought his first sprint car. It was a dream come true for Xander, his dad and more importantly his grandpa. After Ron passed during Christmas. Xander wanted to build a brand remembering his grandpa. Hense the name Ronald Coleman Racing (RCR), and the iconic Ron head logo that you see everywhere. Ron was the pioneer to this love or sprint car racing in the Coleman family. He passed it down two generations and we plan to make sure to keep his dream alive for many more generations to come. #dreaminsince38
